Bow Fishing
Tournament and Rules

Tournament runs from 6:00am on Saturday June 28th until 12:00pm on Sunday June 29th. New York State
requires a small game hunting or fishing license.
1. One man bow fishing team required.
2. Four fish per one man team per day allowed meaning you may weigh 8 fish for the weekend but your four
heaviest fish out of the 8 will count, not all 8 fish. The highest total weight for the four fish will win the shoot. In
case of a tie the total length of the four fish will be the breaker.
3. All bow fishing must be done with in the 60 mile radius of the weigh in station. (The Sportsmens Den)
4. All fish remain at the weigh in station and no clipped fish will be weighed.
5. All carp are subject to inspection. If officials think your fish has not been taken with a bow your fish will be
disqualified!
6. It is the shooters responsibility to obey the rules regarding the shoot.
7. You must be pre registered for the shoot, you may send checks until June 23rd, money orders will be
accepted until June 26th, after that date you will only be able to register in person On Friday June 27th until
8pm Cash Only. There will be a 10.00 late entry fee on Friday.
8. Only fish shot with a bow and arrow will be allowed. They must be alive when shot.
9. The payout will be as follows: 90% of Registrant fees too shooters and 10% to The Sportsmens Den.
10.The number of shooters will determine how much money is paid out for each place. Top 3 places will be
paid. 1st Place 55% 2nd Place 30% 3rd Place 15% Percentages are based on a 90% payout scale. 100% of
the 90% will be paid.
11. Only 4 fish a day may be weighed in. You may switch all four fish out on Sunday for the heaviest
combined weight.
12. Two lunker carp will also be honored. Pay out for lunkers will also be determined by the amount of
participants. 100% of lunker fees will be paid out! Pay out will be 50% for each fish.
13. Contest officials reserve the right to disqualify any team that does not abide by the rules.
Rules for weigh in
1. Four carp per person per day. The four fish may be weighed in, in any combination during the Saturday
and Sunday weigh ins.
2. Each person must check in sometime during the Saturday weigh-ins. You do not need to weigh in any fish,
just check in. Sunday's winners will be determined and all payouts will be made.
3. The weigh in station will be open on Saturday from 630PM to 830Pm, Sunday at 1200PM and close at
1:00Pm. In order to weigh in your fish on Sunday, you must be in line by 12pm, you must be present to
collect your money if you win. No cash will be mailed. You may pick up prize money on a different day if you
are unable to stay until winner is determined.
Entry Fees for Shoot.
1. Carp class fee 30.00 per shooter 90% payout
2. Lunker fee for carp 10.00 per shooter 100% payout
3. If you pay on Friday the fee for the carp class and lunker will be 50.00 because of the late entry.
4. Make checks or money order payable to The Sportsmens Den or stop in and register during normal
business hours.
